Police Release Names of Victims in Meriden Double Shooting

Two Meriden men, ages 25 and 30, were killed in a shooting late Tuesday evening.

Meriden police have identified the victims of a double shooting Tuesday as Anthony Anderson, 25, and Melvin Silva-Pizarro, 30.

Both Meriden residents were found around 10:10 p.m. at the intersection of Crown and Olive streets suffering from life-threatening injuries after being shot.

Police rushed both Anderson and Silva-Pizarro to a nearby hospital .

Meriden police continue to investigate the fatal shooting and there were no further details available as of Thursday. Police currently have no suspect information.

The police department is asking for the public's help in the case, and has set up a tip line at 203-630-6297.
