Police Offering $25,000 Reward for Info on Meriden Double Homicide

Anyone with information leading to the conviction of those involved in a fatal Aug. 14 shooting will be compensated.

Meriden police are now offering a hefty reward to anyone who has information regarding a double homicide that happened at a city street corner on Aug. 14.

According to a press release, Gov. Dannel Malloy approved a request from the New Haven State’s Attorneys Office and the Meriden Police Department to offer a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or persons, responsible for the shooting of .

The shooting victims were city residents . Police responded to the shooting at 10:10 p.m. and emergency responders rushed the men both to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Detectives have been investigating all possible leads to the crime, but the tip hotline has remained quiet for the most part, polie said. The police department said it hopes the reward will help produce valuable information.

“The individual(s) who provides the most relevant information will receive the reward,” the news release read.
