Police Search for Baldwin Avenue Burglary Suspect

Meriden Police asked the public Monday for help in finding a man they believe burglarized a home in the Heather Heights area near Baldwin Avenue last Wednesday.

Police say the crime occurred at about 2 p.m. on March 23. The man in question was seen leaving the area of a burglary in a small 4-door sedan described as light red and about 10 years old.

The man has been described as:

  • in his 40s or early 50s
  • about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 in height
  • light-skinned, possibly Hispanic
  • of a medium build with square shoulders and a round stomach
  • possibly bald
  • having a large face with fleshy cheeks, large lips and a square jaw
  • having a squat, wide nose and eyes set wide and "squinty" in shape
  • wearing a square, short-rimmed, dark-colored hat (not a baseball cap)
  • wearing a dark-colored jacket and pants and possibly boots
