Police Search For Felony Suspect Who Hit Cruiser

Suspect allegedly fled the scene of the accident

Meriden Police are searching for the man who crashed into a police cruiser during a morning car chase Thursday.

Jeffrey Lilley, 43, was driving a stolen car, according to police, when he crashed into a police vehicle at the intersection of Olive Street and South Colony Street at approximately 9:30 a.m.  

The officer in the car was not injured, and there was moderate damage to the cruiser itself, said department spokesman Sgt. Glen Milslagle. Lilley allegedly fled the scene.

Lilley is wanted on felony charges. He is a 250-pound 6-foot-1 black male, whose last known address is 8 Geer Ave. in Meriden.
