Police Searching For Sunshine Mart Armed Robbers

Meriden Police are asking for the public's help in finding two men who robbed a convenience store last week – one of whom showed a clerk what appeared to be a handgun.

Meriden Police are asking the public for help in identifying two men they say took an undisclosed amount of money from a local convenience store in an armed robbery last week.

Officers were dispatched to the Sunshine Food Mart at 550 Broad St. at about 3:27 a.m. on Nov. 30, responding to a call of a robbery, police said in a statement Monday morning.

They were told that a bearded white man walked up to the counter and asked the clerk for the contents of the store's cash register. The suspect allegedly pulled up his jacket to show the clerk what appeared to be the handle of a gun. In video stills released by the police he is wearing a Yankees baseball cap, a black jacket with white sleeves, plaid pants and white shoes.
