Report: Rapper, Promoter 50 Cent to Host Party in Meriden

The entertainer, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is scheduled to make an appearance at Club Sinergee Friday Night.

Meriden Police are preparing for a visit to the city by media mogul 50 Cent, according to the Meriden Record Journal.

The rapper and boxing promoter, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is scheduled to appear at Club Singergee on Colony Street Friday night following a night of boxing at Foxwoods Casino.

Police Capt. Patrick Gaynor told the newspaper that the police department plans to have a presence at the club, which opened in November.

“We want the event to be successful ... we’re hoping it goes off without a hitch,” Gaynor told the paper.

The club holds up to 700 people, the report says.
