Search Continues for Missing Meriden Man

Police have been unable to locate Thomas Benarro and as time passes, there is a greater chance he may be in trouble, officers said Tuesday.

The search continues for a missing South Meriden resident and as time continues to pass, there is greater chance that he could be in danger without medications for depression and anxiety, police said Tuesday.

The Meriden Police Department issued a Silver Alert for Thomas Benarro, 55, on Monday and said Tuesday afternoon that he has been missing since Saturday afternoon and still has not been found.

Benarro regularly takes medication for anxiety and depression, Meriden Police Lt. Sal Nesci said, and he could be in danger if he continues to travel about without treatment.

“Mr. Benarro is a white male who stands about five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds,” Nesci said. “He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt with ‘Zion National Park’ on it.”

Anyone with any information regarding Benarro is asked to contact the Meriden Police Department at (203) 630-6201.
