Silver Alert Issued for Missing Meriden Man

Thomas Benarro, 55, suffers from depression and anxiety and could be in danger without his medications, Meriden police said Monday.

Meriden police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Meriden man that they said could be in danger if he does not receive medication for depression and anxiety soon.

Police said Monday that Thomas Benarro, 55, has been missing since Saturday afternoon when he took off from his home in South Meriden. There was no indication where he may have gone and police are asking residents throughout the area to be on the lookout.

Benarro regularly takes medication for anxiety and depression, Meriden Police Lt. Sal Nesci said, and he could be in danger if he continues to travel about without treatment.

“Mr. Benarro is a white male who stands about five feet, nine inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds,” Nesci said. “He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt with ‘Zion National Park’ on it.”

Anyone with any information regarding Benarro is asked to contact the Meriden Police Department at (203) 630-6201.
