State Police Searching for Alleged Identity Thief

The female suspect was captured on surveillance video leaving the New Britain Target store on Aug. 2 driving a distinctively decorated Jeep Cherokee.

Connecticut State Police are looking for the public’s help to locate the suspect in an identity-theft case that spans two states. 

State police said in a release that their suspect is a woman who may have a tattoo on her upper pectoral area. She is being accused of using the personal information of a Burlington, CT, resident to open several credit-card accounts between Aug. 1 and Aug. 6 and then using the cards to make numerous fraudulent purchases in both New York and Connecticut.

The pictures accompanying this article show the woman exiting the Target store in New Britain on Aug. 2 and leaving the parking lot in a dark green Jeep Cherokee with several stickers on the rear hatch.
