Blumenthal, Bartolomeo, to Talk Public Safety During Campaign Event in Meriden

Connecticut's U.S. Senator is expected to tout the city's state Senate candidate in her bid for the 13th District.

 

 

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is coming to Meriden on Monday to stump for state Senate candidate Dante Bartolomeo and to talk public safety.

Blumenthal will join Mayor Michael Rohde, as well as a number of city councilors and firefighters, during the event for the Meriden candidate.

Bartolomeo is running for the state Senate in the 13th District against incumbent Republican Len Suzio.

In a news release issued last week, Blumenthal’s office said he will appear at South Meriden’s Volunteer Fire Department, 31 Camp St., at 11 a.m. 

Blumethal and Bartolomeo are expected to discuss efforts on behalf of local public safety and volunteer firefighters in the state, the news release said.

Blumenthal previous endorsed Bartolomeo earlier this year.
