City Council Opens Mirror Lake to All Anglers

In a unanimous vote Monday night, city leaders approved a measure to allow fishing at the popular lake at Hubbard Park to all ages.

 

On Monday night, Meriden's City Council agreed to lift the restrictions on fishing at Mirror Lake at Hubbard Park.

In a unanimous vote, the council voted in favor of a proposal to open fishing at the lake to all ages, according to the Meriden Record Journal.

The lake had previously been restricted to children under 15 and seniors 65-or-older.

Opening day of fishing season is April 20.
