CL&P, Yankee Gas, Will Remain in Berlin

The utilities are affected by a proposed NU merger.


The offices of and will remain in nearby Berlin under the proposed NU-NSTAR merger, which was granted preliminary approval Monday by state regulators.

The Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority approved the merger in a draft decision issued yesterday, according to a story today in the Hartford Courant.

The merger is expected to take place by mid-April, according to the story.

No Merger has ever benefited Ct., I still say that they will be downsized then gone within five years just like all the insurance companies that merged( to our benefit they claimed) in Hartford but promised to stay. where are they now????
