Conference to Help Small Businesses to be Held In Meriden

Forum will help small businesses learn about tax incentives.

The Connecticut Department of Labor is hosting a Subsidized Training and Employment Program (Step-Up) Conference for businesses in Meriden on Thursday, June 26th. The Step-Up Conference will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, 275 Research Parkway Meriden, CT from 8 to 10:30 a.m. with registration and light refreshments beginning at 7 a.m.

The event will be co-hosted by State Senators Len Fasano (R-34) and Dante Bartolomeo (D-13) and State Representatives Buddy Altobello (D-82),Catherine Abercrombie (D-83) and Hilda Santiago (D-84). The conference is geared towards informing small businesses about the variety of state hiring incentives, tax credits and other programs that are available to them as they work to expand and grow their businesses.

“Times are tough for businesses of all sizes. This event gives local employers an opportunity to learn about resources that are out there to help them grow and support a healthy workforce,” said Senator Fasano.

•       How to find and recruit new and qualified employees

•       Tax incentives for equipment upgrades and job creation

•       Free business plan and marketing analysis
