Deadlines and Dates for Rocking the Vote This Election

This fall's elections are coming up fast. Make sure your vote is counted and that you're fully informed.

This fall's elections are coming up fast. On Nov. 8, Meriden residents will be voting to choose their mayor, six city councilors and four school board representatives. Want to be sure your vote is counted and that you're fully informed? Here are some deadlines and important dates for this year's election:

Tuesday, Oct. 25 - Mail-in voter registration must be postmarked by this date. You can download a mail-in voter registration form in English HERE and Spanish HERE. It should be sent to:

If you don't get a chance to mail in your registration, you can still register in person at City Hall until Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Wednesday, Oct. 26 - This year's the issues at the Children's First Annual Meeting at 6 p.m. at .

Tuesday, Nov. 1 - This is the last day to register to vote in person for the Nov. 8, 2011 elections. You can head to until 8 p.m. on this day to fill out the requisite forms.

Tuesday, Nov. 1 - The city will host its Meriden Mayoral Candidates Forum at from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Incumbent Mayor Michael Rohde (D) will go head to head with opposing mayoral candidate Walter Micowski (R) on city issues.

Tuesday, Nov. 8 - Election Day
