Meriden Right Now: Blumenthal Visits Bruenn's Campaign Offices

U.S. Senator Makes Calls to District 13 constituents on behalf of Democratic state senate contender

With two days to go before the Feb. 22 special election for the 13th District state senate seat, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal visited the campaign headquarters of Democratic candidate Thomas Bruenn just after noon on Sunday. Blumenthal talked to volunteers and supporters of the 37-year Platt High School math teacher and made calls on behalf of Bruenn to District 13 voters at the campaign's 37 West Main St. space.

"This election is integral to the future of Connecticut," Blumenthal told Meriden Patch. "This is really a great choice and a great opportunity for Meriden to choose a man with terrific dedication and common sense."
