Fresh Off Council Race, Candidate Returns to Political Commentary

Fred Carroll picks up his ballpoint and gets back to poking fun at the city he calls home.

The homeless "bum" known to most of Middletown by sight and the rest by name, Dr. Freddy T. Carroll, is fresh off his run for Common Council on the Realistic Balance ticket.

Having inspired 273 citizens to cast ballots his way on Nov. 8, the former principal of Bums With Brooms still holds court at Klekolo World Coffee, making shrewd political and community observations to those who'll pull up a chair and sit for a few.

"Thanks to everyone who voted for me," Carroll said. "If you had half as much fun voting for me as I did, then it was a party!"

Here, he shares his latest cartoons.

How can anyone not like Dr. Fred, yabba dabba doo? He is a man who princples can't be bought, I know, I tried. Woo-woo! Seriously folks, it's been fun supporting Fred's political run, but most importantly, I'm proud to be one of his friends.
