State Sen. Len Suzio (R-Meriden) is hosting a town hall meeting tonight to gather ideas for the upcoming legislative session and discuss his tax proposals, according to his staff.
The meeting will be held at the Meriden Public Library from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday. The upcoming legislative session starts on Wednesday, Feb. 8.
“No matter where I go in greater Meriden, people come up to me and tell me they are overtaxed,” Suzio said in a prepared release. “That's why I am proposing tax relief."
Suzio said he will also bring his petitions to cap the state gas tax and eliminate the tax on social security income to the event.
Those who can't make it to the meeting can sign the petitions and learn more about the issues and contact him through www.senatorsuzio.com.
"I am happy to talk to you about these or any other issues you are concerned about," Suzio said. "Stop by and say hello."
