This Week's City Meetings - Wed. Update

Meriden government rings in the new year with a host of city meetings.

Tuesday

The Board of Education will hold a Finance Subcommittee Meeting at 5 p.m. in the Board of Ed Meeting Room, 22 Liberty Street. (Added Tues. Afternoon)

A special Economic Development, Housing and Zoning Committee meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Councilors are slated to discuss a city loan to Foundry Industrial Associates, LLC.

A special Finance Committee Meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Council Chambers at City Hall to discuss establishing a budget for the operation of Meriden/Markham Airport.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall – Room 131.

The Board of Education meets at 22 Liberty Street. The public portion of the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

The City Council meets at 7 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers – Room 206. Up for discussion are grants for City Park and environmental work at the HUB.

The City Flood Control Implementation Agency meeting originally scheduled for 8 a.m. was cancelled.

Wednesday

The Conservation Commission meets in Room 28 on the lower level of City Hall at 6 p.m.

The Human Rights Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. in room 219 in City Hall.

The Inland Wetlands Watercourse Commission meets in City Hall Room 131 at 6:30 p.m. and is scheduled to discuss the construction of a two-story commerical building, parking area and sidewalk at 1324 East Main St. and other projects.

A public hearing by the DEEP and City of Meriden on a is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. Residents can look at displays starting at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday

At 6:30 p.m. the Linear Trail Advisory Committee meets in Room 28 on the lower level of City Hall.

Friday
