This Week's City Meetings

A host of municipal meetings in Meriden this week include those of the Board of Education, Housing Authority, Linear Trail Commission, Library Board, Golf Course Commission, Finance Committee, School Building Committee, and Advisory Board on Aging.

 

Monday -

The Meriden Public Library Board meets at 4:30 p.m. in the library's board room. Members are slated to discuss the library's budget and building improvements, and receive an e-reader demonstration.

The Meriden Housing Authority will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the MHA building at 22 Church Street. The group is scheduled to give an award to Boy Scout Troop 43, and discuss, among a number of items on its agenda, union contract negotiations.

The Golf Course Commission is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. at Hunter Golf Course Club House on Westfield Road, and to discuss 2012 rates and drainage for the tenth hole, among other items on its agenda.

Tuesday -

The Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall in Council Chambers.

The Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education building and according to its agenda is scheduled to discuss SAT results, Strategic School Profiles, and action on the 2012-2013 budget estimates.

Wednesday -

No meetings are scheduled.

Thursday -

At 6:30 p.m. the Linear Trail Advisory Committee meets in Room 28 on the lower level of City Hall. Of the many items on tap, members will discuss an application for the trail to become an official Connecticut Greenway, along with plans for the annual fish stocking in the Quinnipiac River in April and other upcoming events.

At 7 p.m. the School Building Committee is slated to meet in the Board of Ed Meeting Room at the Board of Education Building, 22 Liberty Street, Meriden.

Friday -

At 9 a.m. the Advisory Board on Aging will meet at the Meriden Senior Center, 22 W. Main St., Meriden.
