What's Open/Closed in Meriden on President's Day

Most businesses will be open Monday, Feb. 20, but a number of government agencies will close for the President's Day holiday.

 

Below is a non-exhaustive list of what will and won't be affected in Meriden by Monday's President's Day holiday.

Community Resources

  • City Hall is closed Monday, along with city departments like the Health Department and Senior Center, and each will reopen Tuesday at their regular times.
  • The Library is closed Monday and will reopen on Tuesday.
  • The Transfer Station is closed Monday.
  • The Meriden YMCA is open regular hours.
  • Schools will be closed Monday, kicking off a week-long winter vacation. They will reopen on Monday, Feb. 27.
  • Trash pickup will not be affected by the holiday.

Banks

Alcohol

  • Package stores will be open on Monday.

Deliveries

  • USPS won't deliver mail on Monday. Service will resume Tuesday. 
  • FedEx and UPS will maintain a normal delivery schedule on Monday.
