Platt's David Levenduski to Become Ben Franklin Principal

Assistant principal at Platt High School will take over at Ben Franklin Elementary next year.

 

The Board of Education has chosen David Levenduski, assistant principal at Platt High School, as the next principal of Benjamin Franklin Elementary School. Levenduski , who will move to Casimir Pulaski Elementary School for the 2012 - 2013 school year.

Superintendent Mark Benigni made the announcement at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.

Levenduski thanked the board for the opportunity and said he looks forward to taking over at Ben Franklin, where things are running well. He also thanked his family and his mentor, Platt Principal Donna Mik, for their support.

A product of the Meriden schools himself, Levenduski was an elementary school teacher before garnering administrative experience at Platt.

He was asked to report to Ben Franklin for duty on Wednesday to greet the staff and get his feet wet. He is scheduled to officially take the Ben Franklin helm on July 1.
