Do You 'Like' Wilton Public Schools?

The Wilton Public Schools' Facebook page is live.

The Wilton school system is now on Facebook.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, the Wilton Public School's Facebook page sent out its first public update, telling members of the community most updates will still come through the district's website, but Facebook will be used "as another way to inform you of time-sensitive information and news."

The administrator of the page—which was launched in December—also sent out an update encouraging residents to go to the superintendent's public hearing on the 2013-2014 budget, which is scheduled to be held on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Middlebrook Middle School.

I think the lower schools, especially Miller-Driscoll, are great. Caring teachers doing right by the kids. Middlebrook/Cider Mill, and especially, the High School, seem to have an inordinate number of teachers going through the motions. I had three kids in the system, and heard the same comments, good and bad, about teachers, from all my kids. Nothing ever changed.

Worth every penny of whose taxes, Susie? Yours won't cover the cost of one student so you need to start thanking your fellow citizens(particularly seniors) for picking up the slack. If you think more taxes for a bloated school beaurocracy is the answer, why don't you write them a big check right now?
