The National Weather Service says Wednesday.

The Governor's office announced Wednesday morning that at noon it would partially activate the state's Emergency Operations Center due to the impending storm – not because of the storm's severity, but because it may impact the afternoon commute.

“Although this will not be a major storm, the timing of the storm is of concern—it will very likely cause delays as people are heading home this evening," Gov. Dannel Malloy said in a statement. "We’ve not seen a lot of snow accumulation this winter, so we want to remind people to take it easy on the roads and drive cautiously.”
