Event: Hear the History of Lyman Orchards Today

John Lyman III will present the history of Lyman Orchards on Friday, March 23 at 1:30 pm in the Meriden Public Library Griffin Room. King George III awarded 36 acres of land to the farmer John Lyman in 1741. An eighth generation descendent, Mr. Lyman will tell us of the odyssey of that farmland to the 1100 acres and apple growing and golf courses to this day. A Castle Craig Adult Learning Center favorite, Frank Donovan, will provide a special introduction to this talk. This program is cosponsored by the Meriden Public Library and the Castle Craig Adult Learning Center.  The program is free and all are welcome.
