You Can Quit Smoking!

The Meriden Health Department is now offering a free smoking cessation program to residents. Pregnant women, new moms, and their family members who are looking to quit or remain tobacco free are encouraged to enroll.

Individual counseling is available now; a small group program will start in January 2012. Nicotine replacement therapies, such as the patch, gum, or lozenge, is available to those who enroll in the program (some exclusions apply).

For more information please call Geralyn at (203) 630-4003 or email her at glaut @ci.meriden.ct.us. Please call before you stop by, since the Cessation Counselor works part-time. This program is funded by the Connecticut Department of Public Health Tobacco Use and Prevention Control Program.
