Meet This Year's Board of Education Candidates [With Video]

The five candidates for the City's Board of Education introduced themselves and their platforms at a forum at John Barry Elementary School Wednesday night.

Three incumbents and two new candidates are vying for the four available Board of Education spots in Meriden's Nov. 8, 2011 election. These five candidates were each given an opportunity to describe themselves, their experience and platform at a forum held at John Barry Elementary School Wednesday Night, prior to a debate for City Council candidates.

The event was sponsored by Meriden Children First, the Record-Journal, the Meriden-Wallingford NAACP, the Meriden Federation of Teachers and the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce.

Meriden Patch has edited down the original footage of each statement for time and clarity.
