Meriden’s Sadie Edwards committed to UConn on Tuesday, according to several reports.
Edwards accepted a full-scholarship to play basketball for the Huskies and coach Geno Auriemma, in what will be a return to her home state of Connecticut.
Edwards played at Mercy High School in Middletown as a freshman before transferring to Nazareth High School in New York. The 5' 10" guard is now attending Blair Academy in New Jersey and will join the Huskies for the 2014-15 season.
She was being recruited by Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Notre Dame, Penn State and Tennessee as well.
