Meriden's Jones Awarded Cumberland Farms Scholarship

Platt High School senior is one of 41 Connecticut students to receive the scholarship.

Platt High School senior Joseph Jones is one of 41 Connecticut students to receive a $1,000 scholarship for college this year from Cumberland Farms, a convenience store chain with operations in 11 states.

Jones won the store's "Believe and Achieve" scholarship, given to graduating seniors showing academic excellence and some financial need.  Jones will attend Purdue University in the fall.

“More than ever, today’s high school graduates deserve to attend the college of their dreams without finances standing in the way,” said Cumberland Farms President Ari Haseotes. “We are proud to help these college-bound students ease their costs through our Believe and Achieve scholarship.”
