Matthew’s writing:

How My Life Changed

This is a real story of how my life changed. From fifth grade to now a lot has changed in my life.  In fifth grade I was a normal kid, played many sports, went traveling a lot to many places, and achieved good grades.  At the middle of my 5th grade year my mom told me her and my dad were getting a divorce. It horrified me!  It is tough to say, but I was very depressed in the inside. A lot of people told me that if I needed someone to talk to I could go to them. Honestly, I never talked to one person about the divorce.  I kept all my feelings and sadness bottled up inside of me. It did not affect me back then but it did upset me later on.
