What have you learned in school that makes you a better writer? I have learned vocabulary words, brainstorming, capitalization, and punctuation.

What is your favorite book? May favorite book is Penny from Heaven.

What do you like to do outside of school?I love to play softball and swim.

Natalie’s writing:

Students were asked to write about an imaginary animal using their spelling words.

The One and Only Phartephant

Once upon a time there was a creature called a phartephant. Phartephants are not part of the reptile family like lizards or salamanders, but also not the amphibian family. I’d be stumped at why someone would not like a phartephant. It would be a crime (to me) not to exhibit your love for them. My reference is my very own phartephant, Norman. I could not live without him. When they are extinct, their skeleton should be put on exhibit at the Peabody museum.
