Helping Our Children Cope With Bullying and Mean Sprited Behaviors In Our Community

Information and resources on safe school climate, bullying and other mean-spirited behaviors.

Meriden and Wallingford parents, do you know how to help your children cope with bullying or other mean spirited behaviors? Do you know how to report incidents to the schools? Do you know how to support your children, whether they are a victim or a perpetrator?  Do you know what is included in Public Act 11-232, An Act Concerning the Strengthening of School Bullying laws that was signed into law on 7/13/11?

The Meriden Wallingford Community Collaborative and the Local Interagency Service Team invites parents to attend a FREE workshop where these topics will be addressed. The forum will be held Wednesday October 24th from 5:30-7:30pm in the Rushford cafeteria, 883 Paddock Ave, Meriden. Guest speakers include representatives from both Wallingford and Meriden Police Departments. Information and resources will be available.  A FREE dinner will be provided so registration is required to provide for accurate dinner count.

Due to the nature of the topic, it is requested that only adults attend. Please RSVP by October 17th to Denise Keating, Manager of Meriden Youth Services, 203-630-4225 or via e-mail to dkeating@meridenct.gov
