Second in a series of Free programs sponsored by Yankee Gas. This presentation provides a brief overview of the sport of falconry. It also includes some specific information on falconry in this state and the steps required to obtain a Connecticut falconry license. Jon D’Arpino is a general class Connecticut falconer and has held a Connecticut falconry license since 2005. He is a member of the Connecticut Falconers Association, serving as secretary and spokesman, and a member of the North American Falconers Association (NAFA). He is the editor of the NAFA Journal and previously served as editor of the NAFA Hawk Chalk newsletter. Mr. D’Arpino is also an active member of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s Conservation Advisory Committee.
