Ukulele Night - A fun-filled evening concert

A free concert called Ukulele Night will be held on Thurs. Aug. 11 at 6:30 pm at Middlefield’s Peckham Park (161 Strickland Rd.). This outdoor concert will feature The Humble Bees who will provide a delightful mixture of comedy songs and sing-a-longs of familiar tunes, including This Little Light Of Mine, Waltzing Matilda, When The Saints Go Marching In, and Home On The Range.

For the past nine years, The Humble Bees (Marvin Beloff, Peter Burch, Bruce Burchsted, Steve Lazarus and Barry Spencer) have provided unique musical entertainment throughout Connecticut, delighting audiences of all ages and featuring a new-style ukulele called the FLUKE.

Joining The Humble Bees on stage will be the Middlefield Ukulele Club and special guest performers Jim & Liz Beloff. In case of rain, the performance will be held indoors at the air-conditioned Middlefield Community Center Auditorium (405 Main St., Middlefield).  So, come to the Park, toting your folding chairs and blankets, and prepare to have a fabulous evening!
