Meriden Cops, Firefighters Face Off in Charity Softball Game

Proceeds from the event, happening this weekend, will benefit the Meriden Back-To-School Expo.

Meriden police and firefighters are ready to face off in a charity softball game this weekend.

The two city departments will play a charity softball game on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 6 p.m. at Ben Nessing Field, which is located at 1 Murdock Ave.

There's a $5 suggested donation per car, and all proceeds garnered from the event will go to benefit the Meriden Back-to-School Expo scheduled to happen later in August. Drinks and snacks will be available at the field, according to a flyer from the event.

Find out more about the Back-to-School Expo here, or you can email meridenbacktoschoolexpo@gmail.com.
