Kuhn Needs Money For Holiday Celebrations

Editor’s Note: It’s the holiday season and for many, that means something more than finding the perfect gift or going to parties. For social service groups or charities, it’s the time when they reach out for that extra bit of help. Over the next few weeks Patch will profile some of the charitable groups working in your towns and tell you what they need. The Information below was self-reported by the group and taken from the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy's Holiday Wishlist and the group's website.

WHO THEY ARE:

Based in Meriden, assists nearly 400 area residents each year with developmental disabilities, mental illness and physical disabilities garner meaningful employment. The not-for-profit provides assessment, job development, on-the-job training and on-the-job support to these clients, in an attempt to provide them with the skills and support necessary to become independent, gain self esteem and to be productive and valued members of the community.

WHAT THEY NEED:

Holiday celebrations are a way for Kuhn to recognize the hard work, achievements, and successes of the clients served. Monetary donations of any amount ($5 - $500) will afford Kuhn the opportunity to make these celebrations special for all served.
