H C Wilcox Tech High School

Wilcox is a state-run technical school that draws students from Meriden, Cheshire, Wallingford, Berlin and Southington. Through a ninth grade "exploratory program," students choose what vocation they would like to pursue, and receive instruction in this until graduation along with grade-appropriate art, english, health, science, social studies, math and physical education classes. Students may choose from the following areas of focus: automotive technology, carpentry, culinary arts, graphics technology, electronics technology, electrical, hairdressing and barbering, health technology, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, information systems technology, manufacturing technology and plumbing.
