From appetizers like Mozzarella en Carrozza (mozzarella cheese in Italian bread, dipped in egg and fried until golden brown, served with marinara or anchovy caper sauce) to entrees such as Tenderloin of Pork (grilled and served with a raspberry demi glaze), the food is skillfully prepared and artfully presented.</p> <p>This Continental-American restaurant can seat 140, not counting the bar. Founded in 1972 by…More pizza master Sal Cutrole, this casual eatery is a past winner of the "best pizza in Meriden" category in the <i>Record Journa</i>l's readers' poll. When Cutrole retired in 1998, he sold the business to the Santiago family, who have remained true to the original recipes. Many of the customers here are regulars who know each other and the staff by name. Free delivery is available 11 am to 3 pm with a minimum $15 order.
