What have you learned in school that makes you a better writer? I have learned new words and how to write beginnings that will make the story more exciting.

What is your favorite book? My favorite books are the Magic Tree House books.

What do you like to do outside of school? I like to ride my bike and climb my tree in the front yard.

One Leaf's Adventure

Whoa!  The wind blew me away from my tree.  I am flying through the sky.  Where will I land?  I wondered.  I am all alone flying in the bright, blue sky slowly drifting toward the ground. 

I gently landed on top of a leaf pile where children are raking leaves.  It looks like I'm going to be dumped into a bag that has a jack-o-lantern's face on it.  I don't know about this, I thought to myself.  It looks very scary.  Where will they take me?  Do I see a hole?  Yes, I do!  The children dragged the bag to their front lawn.  It is so crowded in here.  Ah, we finally came to a stop.  Now, I think I'm going to like it here.  It's very warm and cozy with my friends.  It's fun being the stuffing for a jack-o-lantern decoration!
